little mommy and Darryl's b-day

This past weekend we celebrated Darryl's 32nd b-day (as his b-day was yesterday). I surprised him by booking a hotel downtown (Hotel Minneapolis) for Saturday night.  Saturday was a fun filled day. First we stopped to see one of Darryl's trainers compete in the Mr. Minnesota contest (we had to leave before we got to see him, but he got 2nd in his group!), headed to Kincaid's for dinner, and then checked in at the hotel. Darryl wanted to go see the movie Thor at St. Anthony Main theatre so we went to the 9:30 showing. {not my choice of movie, but couldn't say no as it was afterall HIS b-day weekend}!
On Sunday we picked Brylee up from my parent's house {they graciously watched her overnight} and then on Sunday evening we headed back to St. Anthony Main for pics with our favorite photographer, Jamie Stoia, of just Darryl and I. I had mentioned awhile back that it would be neat if Darryl and I had some more recent photos of just the 2 of us {since we really only have our wedding pics up}, he surprised me a while back by booking Jamie. So, I am excited to see how they turned out. Brylee's 2 yr. pics are scheduled next month as well.
So, there you have it....our weekend in review.
Sunday afternoon we were able to sneak in a walk in the afternoon in between the CONSTANT rain all weekend. {We got 3-5 inches this weekend}. Brylee is quite the little mommy pushing her bear around the block in her little stroller. Her personality is quite dynamic and it seems as though the 2 year old stage could be classified as bi-polar! One minute things are peachy and the next the world has come to an end. The girl has a flare for the dramatic! {hmmm...don't know where she might get that trait?}. Anyways, she is also insistent these days on wearing her rain boots in and out of the house. So, who am I to tell her no...after all it had been raining all afternoon weekend.

Here are some pics from the weekend.

 {I found Darryl's fire truck in our closet....she loves it}

 {Darryl bought her a balloon and 1 flower, and a bouquet for me a week ago...she adores this little happy face balloon...and well I do too}
 {apparently she wants to be a package with this large bow around her neck}
 {acting goofy}

 {on the go}
 {stopping to step in the puddles}

 {on a mission}

 {come on mommy....let's go}

 {stopping to smile for mommy}
