Frankly, January is just not a very exciting month...a bit of a let down from the holidays, and the weather...oh, the weather just down.right.stinks.! As I am typing this I hear the wind whistling outside my bedroom window. The high today was supposed to be a balmy -2! Yes, we Minnesotans sure do love to talk about the weather and I think we do deserve official bragging rights when it comes to dealing with this miserable weather! This weather does not allow for fun outside, but rather allows us all to be cooped up for a little too long if you ask me! :)
Last week Brylee was sick for most of the week with the flu. High fever, chills, etc. I took off a few days and Darryl took off last Monday. She is finally starting to be back to herself!!! Luckily, neither Darryl, I , or Brittyn got it! We all had the flu shot...but as they are saying it is not completely effective. So, once again I am ready for this cold weather to be gone and move on with more enjoyable and less germ infested air!
This Past Friday, our little, Miss Brittyn Isla turned 10 months. CRAZY...right?! This little girl sure has stolen our hearts, but we would appreciate more sleep. She still gets up once a night...although that is dwindling to just a few nights a week now. Hopefully she gets it figured out by the time she is a year! She is an AWESOME eater....which we love, because Brylee is such a picky eater! She is also sooooo very close to crawling. She pulls herself up to everything, crawls everywhere, and wants to put every.little.speck in her mouth...fuzz, food, dirt, etc! She is growing up way too quick, but it is also so fun to see her little personality come out!
Lastly, this past weekend my dad's side of the family came to my parent's house. It was great to see them, as we didn't see them at Christmas this year. Everyone was there, except J (my Cousin Missy's husband and ring leader to Starr Circus!) who was apparently sick with the flu...I think he just wanted a 24 hour reprieve without the 4 kiddos! All kidding aside, we are bummed he couldn't make it and hope he feels better soon!
Now...onto the pics that I have taken over the last couple weeks. I am looking forward to warmer weather so we can take some cute ones outside!
