{Christmas 2012}

I can't believe Christmas has already come and gone! All that anticipating and waiting and then in the blink of an eye it is over. We had a great Christmas this year shared with family.
We started off the holiday weekend by waiting for 3 hours at minute clinic waiting for Brylee to get eye drops for pink eye. Turns out she also had an ear infection {which she did complain about on Friday, but then didn't mention anything more}. I guess girlfriend had a good run, as this was the first time in 3 1/2 years that she had to visit the dr. for an illness. However, I wouldn't recommend the "minute clinic" the day before Christmas eve!!
With drops and antibiotics, we were ready for the Christmas festivities. Christmas Eve was spent with Darryl's side of the family at his parent's house. We enjoyed appetizers {most made by his mom}, specialty drinks, and had fun watching the girls open their gifts and carry Brittyn everywhere!
Christmas Day was spent at my parent's house. We had brunch late morning so that we could see Colin and Jacky and we opened our gifts. The girls had fun opening yet another round! We just hung out, played SPOT It {fun game!}, and ate, and ate, and ate some more!

The girls are at a really fun age. Brylee totally got into it and understands and Brittyn just enjoyed getting into everything!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!

Here are my favorites this year....

{First snowfall of the season}

Today we our living in a real life snowglobe! The snow is piling up outside the window and everything is white. Apparently, the meteorologists were slightly off in their earlier prediction...oh, let's say Friday night or even on Saturday. We were supposed to maybe get 3-5 inches of the fluff stuff...well, that has been upgraded a few time and now is somewhere between 8-12 inches. When it is that much...who's really counting??
Anyways, the snowy day provided some great playtime this morning for Brylee. She loved playing in the snow and having a snowball fight with Daddy. Brittyn wasn't quite sure what to make of it, but had fun laughing in her sled at the snowball fight taking place.
