Sunday Blues...

The Sunday blues are upon me! Why? you ask...well, mostly because I have to drag myself out of bed tomorrow morning bright and early to head to work. Not just my normal work, but you know these kinds of days....sitting through hour upon hour of workshops! The next 2 days hold fun and exciting workshops...{I am at least hoping some will apply to my job, since I am not a classroom teacher!}. The rest of the week will be devoted {as was last Friday my first day back at my building} to organizing, preparing, scheduling, open house, etc. Oh, how it is hard to dust the brain off and re-boot! It does get easier as the years go by, but still it is a major adjustment. Darryl will have lots of time with Brylee this week since I am back, and she hasn't officially started daycare with Mary yet. So, between him and my mom, she will be well taken care of!

A little sciatic nerve update....so as of last week I was still about the same and getting quite worried about my back not healing in time to go back to work on Friday and with my limited Vicodin supply running out! So, my dad {the big head hauncho he is} got me in last Friday to a spine specialist at Abbott. Besides the unfortunate waiting, he was a great dr., ordered me to some physical therapy for a month, gave me more pain meds!, and was very reassuring that we will get this taken care of. I had already scheduled a chiropractor appt. for Saturday earlier last week. So, I did keep that and let me tell you, I feel so much better! A few pops/cracks and I am back in business! I am going to go again to the chiropractor. I have not had to use any pain meds in over a day..yeah and most importantly...I CAN WALK correctly. {my left calf would not cooperate and so I looked...well, stupid when I walked}! Both the spine guy {his unofficial name!} and the chiro. lady {her unofficial name} suspect that it probably was/is a herniated disc, since it has been 2 weeks and no real relief with anti infammatory and muscle relaxants. However, no scan was done to confirm. Bottom line...I don't care what the heck was putting pressure on that nerve...I am just relieved I am almost back to normal.

So, enough with the endless jibber jabber...I know people have a life and can't spend ALL day on my blog! ha!

BTW- Forgot to mention my little brother, Colby {not so little anymore!} is heading off to the U of M on Tuesday night. My mom has invited me over for a {last supper} if you will with the family on Tuesday night prior to moving him in later. What is on the menu you ask...Pepperoni rolls...what else?! We truly wish Colby the best in pursing his mortuary science degree {yes, people you read that right!}. He is one smart cookie, a downright character, and most of all a stellar guy! Best of luck to Colby!

So, have a great week everyone. Here are some pics I took of Brylee today at my parents in the lovely manicured backyard {ode to dad!}.
