Thanksgiving.

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and ate too much turkey, too much mashed potatoes, pie, etc. We had ourselves a feast twice and it was lovely! Good thing I have my turkey pants {a.k.a. maternity pants}! Thanksgiving day was spent with my aunt/uncle, grandma, and cousins. It was great to see them and the kids all enjoyed playing together. Brylee sure enjoyed having other kids around! We will see if this still holds true when her little sister arrives! Sat. night we went over to friends of Darryl's parents for dessert...eventhough we were still stuffed from all the food we ate during the day, we still managed to shove in a few pumpkin bars!
Thursday night I got up a few minutes till midnight and headed to our local Target for the midnight opening. I am not sure if I am crazy or the whole idea of black Friday is crazy, but the whole experience was CRAZY! I arrived at 12:02 and got one of the last parking spaces in the gigantic lot. From there I proceeded to find the end of the line, which was wrapped 3/4 around the building. The line moved at a steady pace and thankfully the weather was a balmy 50 degrees! Luckily upon entering the craziness of carts, frantic shoppers, and Target employees I found what I had came for....A Disney princess doll and a matching dress for little B! So, I was a happy camper. I then proceeded to weave through all of the food aisles in order to get to the main checkout line. All in all, it wasn't bad, but I am undecided whether it was worth the craziness!
We celebrated our 2nd Thanksgiving celebration on Sunday night with Darryl's side of the family...his brother, sister-in-law, our nieces, and Darryl's parents. Darryl's parents new house is in the process of being built so Thanksgiving was held at Eric and Leah's this year. We had some awesome deep fried turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, etc. More yummy food!
All in all it was a fantastic few days of eating, eating, and more eating. We have so much to be thankful for this year...our growing family, our health, and the love of our awesome family and friends. We are truly blessed.
Here are some pics from Thanksgiving at the Voigt's house...forgot to bring my camera to the Bushard's.
