Yesterday afternoon we made our annual visit to Emma Krumbee's apple orchard. It has become our tradition over the last few years to make the drive all the way to Belle Plaine...a good 45 minutes or so, but so worth it. It was a gorgeous fall day for apple picking and pumpkin selecting! Brylee was really into the apple picking, but mostly wanted to pick the apples that were already on the ground and put them in the bag. So we had to keep reminding her to only pick the ones from the trees. She loved seeing the mini ponies and camel {I have no idea why there are camel rides and what does that have to do with fall?}. We did not have her ride them, but she loved watching them. We also enjoyed a delicious snack before leaving...hot apple crisp a la mode for Darryl and Brylee and a hot apple cider float for me! Hopefully everyone is enjoying some of their favorite fall traditions as well.
{selecting pumpkins}
{pony rides....maybe next year}
{a little pumpkin for the baby}
{the white mini pumpkins were for Conan and Rosie!}
{a perfect apple}
{taking a bite of the apple she picked}
{finding lots of apples on the ground...this is Brylee's version of picking apples}
{finally attempting to get one off the tree!}
{LOVE}
{maybe next year we will take a ride on the pumpkin patch express}
{LOVE}
{riding the tractor...she kept saying...it's not working!}
{peek-a-boo}
{she wanted to pull the wagon herself}
{Daddy shining an apple on his shirt...apparently he needed to pull out the big guns to do so}
