Birthday weekend recap

Brylee had a great Birthday weekend! Saturday included her first real movie. We went to see Rio in 3D. Very cute. Our original plan was to see Wild about You in 3D at the IMAX at the zoo, but unfortunately there was only an 11:00 AM showing. So, hopefully we will get to see that at a later date. Eric, Leah, Alix, Drew, and Paige joined us for the movie and then they came back to our place for pizza and cake.

Sunday morning Brylee woke up and she opened up her presents. The big hits...the kitchen that Darryl fixed up. The kitchen is very sentimental to me as my G'pa Francis made it for me and also made one for my cousin Missy when we were young. Darryl gave it a new coat of paint {went from plain old white to pink}, new sink {aka bowl}, and installed a faucet. She got lots of dishes/pans, kitchen utensils, a grocery cart, and a tea set to go with it. Brylee got a Little Mermaid Vanity from Darryl's parents, and an art easel from my parents. She got lots of other things as well, but those were definitely highlights for Brylee.

After opening presents and playing with her toys all morning and taking a short nap we headed off to Chuck E Cheese to meet my parents for lunch. Brylee enjoyed her pizza and some cookies I brought as well. She loved going on the rides! After a brief stop at my parents to open her gifts we headed to the MOA {Mall of America} for more rides. The great thing is that it was free. Kids get free rides on their birthday! :)

Last night Brylee was quite exhausted from her weekend long celebration! Thanks to everyone for the b-day wishes, cards, and gifts. She is one lucky 2 year old!
