Brylee 9 months (tomorrow)

Brylee is turning 9 months old tomorrow and I just cannot believe how fast time has gone by.
She is so animated and fun!
Here are some of the things Miss Brylee is doing at 9 months:
* She has 8 teeth (4 on top and 4 on bottom)
* She loves to sit and play
* The jumperoo remains one of her favorite things to do
* She loves Mickey's Clubhouse in the morning
* She is not yet crawling or walking (which is still totally fine with me!) :)
* She jabbers away non-stop...I think she is going to be an early talker (which makes mama proud being a speech-language pathologist!)
* she loves books (reading them and chewing on them)
* she loves Conan and Rosie and lights up when they walk in a room. If you ask her where Conie and Rosie are she will look around for them.
* she continues to be such a good little girl!...man, are we lucky!

Weekend Wrap-up

Wrap-up/Summary for the week:
*Both Brylee and I have a cold, but we are both feeling much better now. At least we don't have mono like my brother Colin (Poor guy!)
*Busy work week for both Darryl and myself...lots of meetings, late evenings, etc. (when is it summer?)
*Had dinner with my friend Rachael tonight (great highlight to the end of the week)!
*Brylee's 9 month pics tomorrow...so hopefully we will be able to view those within the next week.
*And Another cold, cold week! (Again...when is it summer?)

Have a great weekend everyone. Here are some pics of Brylee that Darryl took last weekend as she was playing with the excercise bands! I guess she is going to follow in her daddy's footsteps! :)

Saturday Snap-shots

Hope everyone had a good week! It is raining out now...weird to see rain in January, but I guess it is better than snow!
Here are some pictures of Brylee this week. She is even sporting her new earrings in some of the pics. Thanks to G'ma Joyce for her Emerald earrings that now she can finally wear.
Looking forward to next Saturday as she is getting her 9 month pictures taken. I can't believe Brylee is going to be 9 months soon! Where does the time go??
Enjoy your Saturday!

Wordy Wednesday

Here are some favorite quotes for this week.

"When you believe in a thing, believe in it all the way, implicitly and unquestionable." -Walt Disney

"Being happy doesn't mean everything is perfect. It means you've decided to look beyond the imperfections."- unknown

"I want to be forever the me that greets change with open heart and arms." ~Haymes

"Your work is to discover your work, and then with all your heart to give yourself to it." ~Buddha

"Take time to run through the rain" -unknown

"I dropped a tear in the ocean. When they find it I will stop loving you" -unknown

"I am part of all that I have met." ~ Tennyson

"Don't cry because it's over. Smile because it happened." ~Dr. Seuss

"The best kind of friend is one that you can sit on the porch with, never saying a word, and walk away feeling that was the best conversation you've had." ~unknown

and lastly...my favorite....
"Have patience with everything unresolved in your heart
and try to love the questions themselves,
as if they were locked rooms or books written in a very foreign language.
Don't search for the answers, which could not be given to you now,
because you would not be able to live them.
And the point is to live everything.
Live the question now.
Perhaps then, some day far in the future,
you will gradually without even noticing it,
live your way into the answer."
-Rainer Maria Rilke. Trans. by Stephen Mitchell.

LOVE! LOVE!! LOVE!!! my new CAMERA

I finally received my anniversary gift (our gift) last night, our Canon Digital SLR camera, and boy was it worth the wait! I was playing around with it tonight (since Darryl is still at work and likes to hog new gadgets!), and although I am just a novice to this photography stuff and did most of this shooting on auto modes...I was having a great time and can't wait to learn more!
Here are some pics from Brylee's photo shoot tonight. Yes, I said photo shoot...I got her all dolled up and she did a great job posing, don't you think??

Ready to take on the day

Darryl sent me this pic this morning from his phone. Brylee is ready for the day. How cute is she?? ( I know I am biased, but don't care!) :)

Beach background....why not?

Temperature= -13 degrees! High today....5 degrees. Therefore, No further explanation necessary regarding the changed background to the tropical beach scene!

Last night we celebrated a belated Christmas with the other Bushard's (Darryl's brother and his family), as we were supposed to venture up to Albertville on Christmas Eve, but because we got walloped with the Christmas snowstorm, we couldn't make it. It was great to catch up with Eric, Leah, and the girls (Alix, Drew, and Paige). The girls loved opening presents...which took all of about a minute, and they all took turns holding Brylee and carrying her around!

Hope everyone stays warm this week. This is the time of year when booking a tropical vacation is what keeps people sane! Back to work for me tomorrow after having 2 weeks off. It will be a rough adjustment!

Have a great Sunday everyone!
